10 things to do before I die! ......

Hey there guys, so the weather is absolutely rubbish and it won't stop raining so I thought I'd talk about what I want to do before I die instead of what my day is consisting of, as it is very boring! So here we go ....

  1. At the very top of my list is Skydiving!! I saw some people doing it on I'm a Celebrity Get me out of Here and I immediately want to do ti myself, they only thing is finding someone to do it with, but I think I have at least one friend that I can rope in to doing it with me.
  2. The next thing on my list is Scoober Diving!! I'd love to do this as it's so beautiful and would be such an amazing experience that I'd love to do.
  3. Number three on my list is going abroad to work with a charity. This may not sound interesting or exciting to all of you but to those of you who are like me you will see my point. I just want to help and experience other cultures and see how bad some parts of the world is actually living, and if I can help improve that then great!
  4. My goal for this Blog is to reach 10,000 subscribers within 5 years of making it, maybe 10,000 is rather a lot but 5 years is a long time too. So lets see if we can do it!
  5. Number 5 is to travel the world, I want to see different places like Italy, India, China, so many countries out there to discover and I really want to see them!
  6. Another thing I want to do before I die is ride in a helicopter because it would be so awesome! Imagine being up there and flying over everything, watching the world beneath you!
  7. I'd also love to see the northern lights, aka Aurora Borealis. I imagine it would be so cold down there but it would be breathe takingly beautiful.
  8. I'd love to be a writer, whether that be an author or a journalist I don't know but i love to write which was one of the reasons I started this blog in the first place.
  9. I also love art and design and would like to look into that area more to see if it's something I want to do, along with writing.
  10. And last but no means least I want to actually own my own library!! Not a public Library but in my house, i want to have so many books that I can say I've read each one. I just think it would be a cool thing to have :).
And that's my list of what I want to do before I die, if you've done some of them or all of them let me know in the comments or if you have your own list again let me know in the comments I'd love to hear what you want to do before you die. Thanks for reading byyeeee x

Girls and Sport? ...

Hey there guys, now the other day I saw an advert or a segment of the news on the tv about girls around the ages of 13 - 18, i think it was, who don't participate in sport. I'm nearly 16 and I was thinking abut how much sport I do, those of you who have read my blog before know that I do a lot of Rowing and that is my main sport and passion within sport, but I also love swimming and play netball and rounders at school. When I was in year 7, so first year at high school, I really didn't want to take part in sport, but I found myself doing Judo and I did this for around 2 years and graded once as there were limited girls there and I felt uncomfortable "fighting" against lads that were much bigger and stronger than me. So I decided to give it up, but it was still a chapter in my life that I won't forget.
Now don't get me wrong I love doing my hair and looking all nice and fancy but honestly girls you don't have to look your best 24/7, it's not worth it. The other day I was walking home and I remembered when I was around 12 that I thought I had to wear jewelry all the time and I specifically  remember a time when I was meeting my friend to just hang outside and I put all my nice clothes on just to walk around!! How crazy is that like to me now it's ridiculous and I'm a little embarrassed that I did that but that's what life is about I guess. But anyway getting back to the news story on telly, they were interviewing Jessica Ennis and asking her why she thought girls weren't doing enough sport and she said that when your younger you don't want to look all hot and sweaty and red faced at school especially if you have p.e in the morning you have to be like that all day, which is fair enough I mean I understand after all I am a girl.
They said that only 20% of girls aged between 13 -18 played sport! That to me seems incredibly low and I'm proud to say that I am part of that 20% because exercise is good for you, and I mean I hate running and football but I love other types of sports too, that's the great part is that there's so many different kinds of sports out there you just have to find which one suits you best. If I could say one thing to girls it would be " To not always care about looking your best and to find a sport that interests you and give it a go! Seriously it could change the way you see sport and sportsmen and women themselves and make you feel good about yourselves".
I have learned that as I got older I started to enjoy sport more, and when I was younger I felt like sport was just for smaller skinnier girls who could run fast and were built that way but I was so wrong and look at me now, competing for my club all around the country. If someone had told me last year that I'd be racing in Rowing I wouldn't of believed them but I've surprised myself so much in the last 10 months than I ever thought I would, and the thing that inspired me to join was the Olympics in London 2012. So there's the legacy they always talk about.
So anyway I'm gonna stop rambling on and go, thanks for reading this and I hope more young girls like myself try new sports and things and get involved, byyeee x

Finishing the Leaflets and how I found the experience...

Hey there guys, so today I finally finished delivering the leaflets, and honestly it's been tiring, draining and a lot of walking has been done. But there aren't all negatives I learnt that the local people are so nice and were willing to help me when I got lost. I didn't realize this before I started as in my town if you don't know the people you pass you don't really talk to them, but it was a different story in the village where I delivered them. I could go up to people and ask which street I was on if I wasn't sure and they were so friendly and happy to help, I guess all you have to do is ask. A slight negative is all the dogs that barked at me, oh and the two peacocks I encountered!! Here's a little story for you, when I was little I was with my dad and grandparents at the local theme park and there was an area where parrots and other types of birds where and I went to have a look. I remember looking up and seeing a peacock standing on the fence that was supposed to be holding the birds, and when I looked back down I saw another peacock right in front of me. As in out of the cage and in the same area I was!! I started to panic and as a little kid I didn't know what to do, my family were round the corner and on there way to get me. I noticed the peacock getting closer to me and I ran! I freaked out and ran, as I was running the peacock was stilling chasing after me and I just ran for my dad. I was so scared it still haunts me today I guess.
Which is why when I went to this house with two peacocks sitting on the drive I really didn't want to go to the door, like I considered leaving it on the floor. Bu the owner saw me creeping round them and came to rescue me from the peacocks she owned.
I haven't decided whether I'd want to do it again as me and my mum had trouble getting there and it used up a lot of fuel, and not to mention the hours its taken, but as they say money isn't handed to you on a plate...... sadly.
Thanks for reading guys, I enjoyed telling you the little story from my childhood so if you liked it I may do it again :) byyyeee x

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Update....

Hey there guys, okay so already I know that I haven't blogged everyday and I can honestly say I did absolutely pants but before you all shout and say "why say your going to blog everyday and not end up doing it?!" The reason I haven't been able to is is because I've been working all day everyday, Rowing on top of that and having my friend round. Now that might not sound like a lot to you but it was too me, this job is harder than I expected it to be and makes me incredibly tired and exhausted that I completely forgot my promise to you. So if you were hoping to see me blog everyday I'm really really sorry but I've just been too tired and busy to remember, and the weather has been rubbish which is not what I had thought it was going to be. So I haven't been doing summary things because it's been raining and miserable.

Another thing, before I decided to write this apology I guess I didn't have a clue what to write about and so I looked at some other peoples blogs like Sprinkle of Glitter, Zoella, who I personally love and there blogs have given me some ideas for my own blog, and I also want you to comment below if you have a blog and I will check them out because I really want to find other bloggers and see what other people are writing about, if you have any specific blogs you want me to do also leave them below as I will consider them in the future.

Again sorry for my not following through with the whole blogging everyday for 6 weeks thing but I'm gonna try again, thanks for reading byyeee x

Favorite childhood books ...

Hey there guys, so recently my brother has signed up for this reading competition with our local library and I've been helping him make a start on his reading. It got me thinking of the childhood books I loved when I was around 7 till now. My brother has started to read Roald Dahl - James and the giant peach, and I remember starting this book but I never actually finished it so it's quite good for me to share this experience with my brother as we will both find out how it ends together. Roald Dahl was a big influence on my childhood and I was mesmerized by his writing and ways to describe the image and characters in his head, my favorites were Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which is still one of my all time favorite books and films, and George's Marvellous Medicine.

Another Author who influenced my childhood and the books I read today is Jacqueline Wilson. My favorite books of hers are The bed and breakfast star which was the very first book i read from front to back on my own and took me around a year, I remember this because I was in year 4 (grade if your in America) and there was always this competition of how many pages you could read and you would get prizes for each stage and there were always to bookworms who won every stage and I wanted to give it a try, so I made the first step of reading The bed and breakfast star which changed the way I perceived books in a completely different way. The characters and story-line just intrigued me to where I wanted to read more and more and I eventually finished it, sadly I was and still am a very slow reader which means it takes me a long time to finish a book, I'm working on that. Another favorite book of mine by Jacqueline Wilson is The Diamond Girls. I had started reading it a long time ago and then had either a) got bored or b) forgot about it, and so I picked it up again when I sorted out my books and completely fell in love with it, if I remember correctly I may have shed a tear or two but I can't be certain. It was a long time ago.

Sadly though I could never get into reading the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, and have only read the first one and 3/4 of the second one. It's a working progress, but I absolutely adore and I mean ADORE the films, as I am obsessed with film and the way films are created and brought to life.

I'm going to go now because I'm sure your sick of me rambling on about books so thanks for reading byyeeeee x

Blogging everyday for the 6 weeks holiday?? ...

Hey there guys, so I've been thinking and I came up with the idea to blog everyday, starting now, of the 6 weeks holiday. Now I can guarantee that I will miss a day or two but I'll try be best!
So I've finally broke up for the holiday which means I'm halfway through doing my GCSE's which is relieving but also stressful as the exams that come at the end of the two year course is ever nearing. But to kick of the 6 weeks with this glorious weather we've been having here in England for a change my friend held a BBQ at the weekend, sadly the weather decided to turn and it rained majority of the day but none the less we had a laugh and lots of fun with so much food it would've fed the 5000.

Another thing I am doing in this first week of the holiday is a "job" yes people I have a job for a week! If you care enough to be reading this anyway and want to know what my new found "job" is it's delivering leaflets. Not the most glamorous job in the world but at least I'm not cleaning toilets. So yeah I have 1 week to deliver around 1500 leaflets and I get some dosh (money) to spend as I please..... result!!

To sum this enlightening post up is that I am going to try to blog everyday for 6 weeks with ideas of what to do in the holidays, I have little brothers and will be doing lots of creative and fun things with them and shall share them with all you lovely lot, and any other things or events I go to you will get to see and read about. Thanks for reading byyeee :) x

Going out to dinner for my friends birthday!!

Hey there guys so last week it was my friend Lucy's birthday and we all decided to go out to dinner to celebrate. We chose to go to Wing Wahs, which if you haven't heard of is an amazing Chinese restaurant where you pay a set price and can eat as much as you can basically. The food there is absolutely gorgeous and it's local to where we live so we didn't have to travel too far.

So anyway, I went with the Birthday girl and we met Priya and Jess there. We were all dressed up and ready to go eat so we went straight in and found our seats, sadly I forgot to take pictures of the incredible interior in there but it was incredible to say the least. But I did take some pictures of me and the girls and my favorite meal of the night to show you guys so with out further a do here they are ....

Desert!!!
Okay so this is the desert I chose, the Crème brûlée was scrummy but not the best I'd tasted sadly that standard was set by Jimmy Spices, then there was Eton Mess (which looks like a mess on the plate) and jelly and a strawberry mouse which was rather nice too.

(Left: Me, who looks scary!, Lucy the birthday girl, Priya and then Jess)
I'm not the biggest fan of this picture but it was the only one that I had of all of us together so it'll have to do :)

A few pictures after we'd finished eating and felt stuffed and tired, Some of these are so cute and shows what a good night it was.

Me and my girl acting crazy with out none alcoholic slush puppies because that's how we roll.... and to finish this post I'll leave you with a favorite picture of mine where we're all just having fun and living life while celebrating our friends birthday, thanks for reading guys it means so much to me byyyeee xx

I went shopping!!

Hey there guys! so I have been super busy with lots of different things and I've taken lots of pictures for you guys too see. As you can see by the title of this post I'm going to be talking about a few things I brought when I went shopping the other day. So lets begin.....

So I have a pair of blue Lee Coopers and I wear them everywhere they're so comfy and I just love them and so I thought it was time to buy some more. So I went to Sports Direct and found these white one which should have been £29.99 but were in the sale at £12.99..... BARGIN!! I haven't worn them yet because they're so white and new I'm scared I'll scuff them straight away and they weather has now picked up so it's very hot and sunny here in the UK.
I would definitely recommend these to anyone!

The next things I brought were these really cute ballet pumps. Now because I'm so tall it means I have big feet and I really struggle to find shoes to fit me, but where I live there's a shop called Shoe Zone and they sell shoes in bigger sizes which is great! so these were in the sale too at £7.49 from £14.99 so that was a great deal too. I think these look really smart and were perfect for when I went out to dinner last night, the only problem is that they rub a little so I carried plasters in my bag.

I got these ones at the same place and I call them my Grandad shoes because they look like something Grandads might wear. Again these are white so they are a little dirty but seriously who can have white shoes and keep them that colour? These are really comfy and are perfect in the hot weather, I've worn them practically everyday since I got them, I would definitely recommend them to anyone out there.

I brought this top from Primark, now I've noticed that they're prices have gone up by quite a bit because this got me £12.99 and it's only a very thin material. I wore it with white shorts and a vest top underneath. I really like it because it's nice and summery and it's nice to finally buy summer clothes and shoes!!
That's it for my little "haul" I guess you could call it but they were the most interesting things I brought, I've got lots of photos and post ideas to share and I'm always working on them so if I don't post in a while it's because I'm working on them. Thanks for reading byyyeeeeee!! :)

My guilty pleasures song edition .....

So we all have guilty pleasures right? and I wanted to do a song edition where I tell you my favorite old school guilty pleasures so here we go ....

  1. Walking on Sunshine - Katrina & the Waves: I absolutely love this song because it's such a feel good song that it can instantly change my bad mood in to an incredibly happy mood. It's usually the song I go for if nothing else works :)
  2. Beauty and the Beast- Disney Beauty and the Beast: I am such a Disney fan! I just love Disney movies and everything about them, My favorite ones where Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. When I was younger my mum took me to the Disney shop in Derby I think and brought me a Belle soft doll (Couldn't call it a bear because she's not a bear) and I've still got her today.
  3. Circle of Life- Disney Lion King: Following the Disney theme this is one of my favorite Disney songs ever! All the power and music throughout the song just fills the room and makes me think of the theater productions.
  4. My Heart Will Go On- Celine Dion:  Apart from it being in one of the best films of all time, Titanic for those of you who haven't watched it, it has to be the saddest song ever! and whenever I listen to it I always picture the very famous scene where Jack has froze to death and Rose promises to "Never let go" but she does in fact let go, this has caused confusion among the world. But anyway this song is one of my guilty pleasures because I love the film so much. I'ma sucker for classics.
  5. Had The Time Of My Life- Dirty Dancing: Again with the classics, Dirty Dancing has to be one of the most memorable films ever and would be rude for it not to be in my guilty pleasures. The build up to the chorus bring everyone into song whenever they listen to it, me included.
  6. I Need a Hero- Bonnie Tyler: A classic and has featured in many films, such a good feel good song reminds me of karaoke singing at parties your mum would throw at Christmas.
  7. Total Eclipse of the Heart- Bonnie Tyler: Love this song because it's a classic and just a really good song, I think that's good enough reason.
  8. Hey Mickey!- Toni Basil: I have a lot of memories with this song because when I was younger around 8 I think it would play at parties and discos and I also went to a dance club and this was one of the songs we danced to.
  9. Smooth Criminal- Michael Jackson: I love this song! with the electric guitar intro and Michael is a legend worldwide and his music is just amazing, this one in particular.
  10. Man in the Mirror-Michael Jackson: I always seem to sing this song, it just speaks for itself really.
So there's my Top 10 guilty pleasure songs and I may do a top Disney songs in the future because I love Disney, thanks for reading bye x
