As I can imagine many of you went out celebrating last night to see in the New Year, I on the other hand had a quiet one with my family and decided to have a little pamper night as I go back to school in a few days I wanted to savour the time I have left to relax. So I wanted to wish you all a very Happy 2014 and I wish you all the best of luck and hope good things happen to you all. I am excited at what the year will bring and ready to make some amazing memories but I'm also very nervous because I take my exams in less than around 3 months which petrifies me! But we all have to do it so I can only try my best, if your anything like me you set yourself high targets. So in most lessons I want to get an A which means if I get any less I can be pretty disappointed. My mum is so supportive and is happy at whatever result I get, by the way I usually get a C or above haha, but yeah school is a biggy this year and my form tutor just left and he was a great teacher and my form won't be the same.
Anyway, New Year's Resolutions; I think that have a goal or something in mind that you want to achieve during the year is such a good thing to have because it keeps you focused and makes you want to do things instead of just floating along doing just enough to get by. I have decided that this year I have 5 New Years Resolutions that I want to try to achieve, 5 is quite a lot so I won't be disappointed if I don't do them all here they are...
- Be Healthier
- Study hard
- Make Memories
- Read More Books
- Stay focused and to have a good year!
I think that they are easy enough to maintain throughout the year, it's not a dramatic change that will be difficult to do and I think that's important when making resolutions. If you make all these drastic and out of reach targets the chances are you won't do them but if you just say to yourself a few little things you maybe want to change or achieve this year I think you would be more likely to do them.
I have also decided that I am going to set myself up to 3 targets a month of which I want to achieve for January I have....
- Read at least 2 books
- Train as much as possible
- Aim to win at Boston
Now for those of you who read my blog you may know that I go to a Rowing Club, for the last 15 months and have been competing in a few races. Well I have another competition at the end on January so which is in Boston, so I want to give my best and win it! :)
These are just a few pictures form 2013, I have had such a good year with a few down but mainly ups and I hope you have too so thanks for reading and I hope to bring you many more posts in 2014! Also while I remember I haven't even been blogging for a year and I'm so close to 1000 page views which to me seems incredible. The thought that that many people have looked and read my blog and posts is incredible and very heart warming so a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all reading my blog and following me on Bloglovin it really does mean a lot to me. Happy New Year! x
