How to make a Crab Plushie ....

Hey there guys, so the other day I went to the crafts shop and brought a load of felt and buttons and glue and all sorts because I love crafts and I've recently gotten into making plushies, if you don't know what a plushie is is basically a small stuffed object. Yesterday I made a green pea and a crab so I thought I'd show you how to make it. So lets get started...

You will need:
Felt- red, white
Thread- red, black
A needle
Some stuffing
Scrap paper
Pencil

So the first thing you need to do draw this template out on the scrap paper, I didn't use any measurements for this plush so you can just draw it however big or small you would like it.
The next step is to draw the oval shape on the red felt AND the white felt, you then need to draw two claws on the red felt and six legs also on the red felt. It should look something like image number 2.
Once you've drawn the template onto the felt you can then start cutting them out.
It should look something like image number 4.
So line the pieces up like this so you know where there going to go, this just makes it easier to sew them together.
After lining the pieces you need to take your needle and thread it with read thread.
This is to sew the legs and the claws onto the red oval piece so it looks like image number 6, I used a back stitch to sew them on and they were small stitches so you can hardly see it.
After you've sewn on the legs and claws you can then sew on a face using black thread. Once you've done that get the oval white piece of felt and line it up with the back of the crab. You then use red thread to sew the pieces together. Leave the top section open so you can stuff the inside, make sure you put as much stuffing as possible, the more stuffing the better. Once you've put the stuffing in you can then sew the top up as well.
And it should look something like this, I hope you enjoyed this new type of post I'd like to do more of these as I really enjoyed it, leave a comment telling me what you thought about it and I hope you give it a try! Thanks for reading byyeee :) x
