Why can't I get on a Bus like a normal person?

Since I started using the public transport that is buses I seem to always embarrass myself! I've come to the conclusion that me and Buses just don't get on very well, and neither do me and a certain bus driver. The first time I used a bus I was around 11 or 12 and I went up to the driver and said these penultimate words "Ticket please". Yes I actually said that, I'm going to put it down to watching to many movies and TV programs where they say that and just get on. Since this first incident I have learned that you actually have to tell the bus driver where you want to go because sadly there not mind readers. One of the most recent times I went to get on a bus was a few weeks ago, I was meeting my friend who was already on the bus and we were going to go training. She wasn't sure how much it would cost for me to get on this bus so I took £1, usually it's around 90p so I thought I'd have enough. Anyway the bus pulls up and I step onto it, ask the driver for my ticket and telling him where I want to go, then he replies with £1.10! As I mentioned earlier I only had £1, so I was 10p short. I looked over to my friend sitting on the bus and ask if she has 10p. She didn't. As I looked around not knowing what to do I notice the rest of the people looking at me like I'm a total freak. The bus driver then repeat to me that it's £1.10 and I was close to slapping him. I eventually made the decision to walk and me and my friend got off the bus and started walking around 3 miles. I was really angry because anyone of those other passengers on that bus would've had 10p!! I ended up getting massive blisters on my feet and a great story to tell, along with immense embarrassment. Thanks for reading x

Book Review on Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver,Linger and Forever Series.

Hey there guys, now when I read these books it took me a while but not as long as books usually take me because sadly and annoyingly I'm a very slow reader, but these books captured my attention enough for me to read them rather fast, and because I enjoyed them so much I was dieing to review them so other people can go check them out and give them a little read because seriously they are absolutely amazing. So lets get to it....

In the picture above are the three books in order, starting with Shiver. I'm going to give you a brief outline of what they're about because I think it's best to start there. So the books are about a pack of wolves living in Minnesota. The leader Beck owns a house on the edge of the woods, this is because the wolves turn into their human forms during the summer and then turn into their wolf forms during the winter. There's a girl named Grace who also lives on the edge of the woods and is often left to her own devices as her parents are busy and don't pay her much attention. In the first book,Shiver, the reader is met with Grace being attacked by the wolves.
Throughout the book it flicks between Grace and Sam's point of view. Sam is one of the wolves and as the books develop we find that he was taken in by Beck when he was younger. I don't want to give too much away in case you decide to read them so I'm missing bits out and giving an overall thought on the series.
The books have many shocking moment that leave you craving more which is one of the ways Maggie creates the characters lives and story lines they lead. As it was a while ago since I read them I can't quite remember what happened in each book but I remember what happens throughout the series. The reader eventually find out that the wolves that attacked Grace were from the same pack that Sam was from and that he saved her from them. Sam has this power that none of the others can do, he can make himself turn human. Another fact that Maggie reveals is that when they reach a certain age they stay in their wolf from till they die, Beck who Sam looks up to as a father figure has reached that age and is now I wolf, we learn how much he impacts on Sam and the rest of the pack. The way Maggie Stiefvater has written the books you literally don't want to put them down, they entice you and you become apart of the word and characters within. She bring emotion with her writing which is important to this type of story line as there is a love story within.I strongly recommend these books and they cost £7.99 for each one, I got mine from Waterstones but you can buy them online. I know I haven't gone into much detail but I didn't want to spoil it for those who decide to read them. Thanks for reading x

Rimmel London Nail Polish .....

I recently brought some nail polish and it just so happened to be Rimmel London, now I've never brought any Rimmel London products before but I have been dieing to get some pastel colours for weeks and weeks and when I saw them I had to get them. The bonus was that it was 3 for 2 in Boots, so it cost me around £5 for 3 bottles, I got a pastel pale pink, a blue and a grey. So far I've only worn the pink but it's a really nice colour and I love wearing it. They remind me of summer and make my hands looks really nice and girly which is good considering I have horrible blister scars on them from Rowing.
The reason I'm posting this is because I love nail varnish/ polish whatever you call it and I wanted to review it. On the bottle it says 60 seconds to dry now I don't particularly think it worked, party because I had to put at least three layer on because it's a pale colour. The brush is slightly awkward but is usable. Apart from those slight negatives the products are really good and I just love the colours. I'm not an expert on beauty or things like that I just really liked this product and wanted to share it with you.
The photos shown here have been edited slightly so you can see the polish's better. Thanks for reading and also a little side note I'm thinking about doing a book review on a series of book I really enjoyed so let me know if you'd be happy to read that but I'll probably post it anyway, bye :) x

Why I made this Blog ....

Now I'm aware that there aren't many people who have read my posts but I wanted to say why I started this Blog. The reason is because I love to write and I have so many thoughts an opinions that I just wanted to share, so if more people start to read them then great we could interact and have conversations about the topics I talk about and if we don't that's fine it just gets them out of my head. If your reading this now and you want me to talk about something them leave a comment below and I'll reply or take on board your feedback.

Do we really need make up? ....

Now I understand that majority of women and girls wear make up and that's fine, we all want to look nice but do we really need it or is it society that makes us think we need it? Has it become so common for girls to wear make up that they feel they can't go out with out it on? Women and girls should feel comfortable with or without make up on, if they choose to not wear make up they shouldn't be judged by society for choosing not to, and if they choose to wear make up they again shouldn't be judged or labelled as fake. At the end of the day if they want to go out looking orange or have foundation line then I believe you should leave them to it, they have chosen to do that, it's not down to us as a society to try to change people.Maybe a revelation will happen and everyone will stop buying beauty products but we all know that isn't going to happen, we're all a bit vain no matter how much we deny it, we all have some form of  moisturizer or exfoliator. We all want to look good so stop judging other people and just go be happy with how you look.

How life is really different from Movies ...

Movies give us unnecessary high expectations of life, for example American movies about high school are very far from what high school is really like. Now don't get me wrong I knew it wasn't going to be like High School Musical but it was pretty close. I mean I suppose there are links like the groups or cliques you belong to and there's always that one table where all the popular people sit and if your not them well you have to find other people, but in the movie you can't change groups where as I found you can most of the time in normal high school life although I have made so many different friends and some have gone and some I have stayed friends with, so all I'm saying on this point is High school is so not like the movies.
Another point is the classical love story, now when in the movies you bump into a boy and you both bend down they all of a sudden have a connection, this really doesn't happen in real life. If anything your left to pick them up yourself. And I love movies I really do but it just got me thinking how sometimes we expect things that happen in movies to happen to us when really they won't.
Which on the other hand, if you think of books why is it we don't get expectations from books, we don't expect to find our prince charming straight away, well most people don't, and yet in films we do. I just thought it was a valid point.

See a Problem, Find a Solution....

I always find myself in situations where I don't know what to do. The thing is you can't give up, can't say no and just turn away because it will play on your mind for the rest of the day. Instead you have to find a solution, this may be a small problem like not handing coursework in on time so what do you do? Well don't stress about it, it only makes it worse, just take a step back and think how long you have to it in, if it's for the next day and you have tonnes to do well you better get cracking and try to get as much done as possible. If your more organised and try to get everything done on time you find yourself a lot less stressed because you can relax and do things you'd rather be doing. Leaving things to the last minute is never a good idea, I've left things till the last minute and it just causes more hassle, it's best to get it done as soon as possible. As it's exam season there will be lots of revision needed to be done, if you find yourself constantly stressed and feel like none of it is going in maybe you should draw up a timetable so you know what your doing when your doing it and how long for. Short sessions with breaks work better for some people where as others can revise for hours, it all depends on the person. The best solution for stress is to just stop what your doing and have a break, even if that means going out with friends for a bit, having a nap just anything to take your mind of it. You will more than likely work better feeling refreshed than frustrated.
I'm saying this because it is exam season and lots of people will be worrying about exams and revision along with coursework and lots of other problems, if your like me you like to see things so I make lists of what I have to do and when I've done it I cross it off and do the next thing, I can't revise when I'm stressed so I have to do something else. I just wanted to share some tips for those of you who are struggling with organisation and just stress in general.
